There was no denying Ryan Braun’s star potential, the first round pick by the Milwaukee Brewers out of the University of Miami. He flew through the minors and made it to the big leagues in just over 2 years. I remember eating at a Buffalo Wild Wings when he got his first Major League hit and getting a hard on as I heard the connection off the bat. That was in 2007, and Brauny did not disappoint as the years flew by. He had his best season in 2011 when he hit .332 with 33 HR’s and 111 RBI and won the MVP, much to the chagrin of Matt Kemp, who was at the time banging Rihanna. Can’t have it all, asshole! The Brewers made an epic post season run that year (hey, when you haven’t won shit since 1982, winning a series is epic) and culminated in a divisional playoff round win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. That seems like decades ago.
The Brewers are in a straight up rebuilding mode and won’t be relevant for at least a couple more years. Braun, however, is very much relevant and is thriving in the early season. It is a shame it couldn’t be on a contending team. Braun is back to his MVP self, but the Brewers are far gone. I left out all the steroid shit, and how he ruined some mail carriers career, and shit on his reputation. But hey, he was OUR cheater and I will never forget the way he made the game look so effortless, while also lying his ass off right in front of America, which he also made look effortless. My friends, he is doing that same thing 5 years later (minus the drugs and lying…I think) and I can’t stop watching. I have never loved living in the past as much as I do watching Brauny flash his undeniable skill-set. I also love the fact that Rihanna ruined Matt Kemp’s career, love is a bitch.
